Visiting Beacon Comms South West Office?
Here’s what you need to know.
If you’re planning a visit to Beacon Comms there are a few things you need to know before and during your visit.
Where are we?

In your car. Pitts Cleave is on the southern side of Plymouth Road, the A386, on the eastern outskirts of Tavistock.
The office is 38 miles from the terminating Junction of the M5 at Exeter, by exiting onto the A30 towards Bodmin and Okehampton.
On the train. The local train station is Plymouth which is 17 miles from Pitts Cleave, taking 25 minutes by taxi.

Where can you park?
We have a limited amount of parking spaces available in the front of the building, which includes some visitor parking.
Where can you work?
We have provided a number of meeting rooms available for our visiting partners and there is free Wi-Fi.
You can use these desks to keep in contact with your office when you visit us.
Please be aware that this space is used by all our partners and confidentiality should be considered at all times.
What to do when you’re thirsty
There is a kitchen area at Beacon Comms. Tea, coffee and milk are free to visitors, so please help yourself.
We simply ask that you help keep our kitchen tidy, by washing up your dirty cups when finished.
Water dispensers are also available.
What to do when you’re hungry
If you plan to bring your lunch, there is a fridge and microwave in the kitchen, along with plates and cutlery.
Please do not leave any food in the fridge after your visit.
Just a short 5 minute car ride down the road there is the Stanary Town of Tavistock, with an abundance of local fare. There is also a large Morrison’s Superstore and Petrol Station.
For those with more time, there is the recently refurbished Trout and Tipple Public House just a short walk away, in Parkwood Road, Tel 01822 618886, selling Bar Meals and a range of Real Ales.
If you use the kitchen facilities please ensure you leave it tidy and wash your dirty plates and cutlery
Local Coffee House, Dukes, offers a sandwich van delivery service by telephone, 01822 613718 and visits the business park most work days
If you need a bed for the night.
The Bedford Hotel, Tavistock
The Bedford Hotel is a 3 Star hotel, situated in the Town Centre, and was built on the remains of a Benedictine Abbey, and offers 30 Rooms which all have en suite bathrooms with showers, hairdryers, and tea/coffee making facilities.
Some rooms allow pets upon request. A traditional breakfast is included in the room rate, from £99.
Woburn's restaurant serves excellent food, and has an AA Red Rosette.
The traditional Dukes Bar offers local ales, a bar menu and a walled garden for afternoon tea

The Horn of Plenty, Tavistock
The Horn of Plenty is a 3 Star hotel, with breath-taking views over the Tamar Valley. The Horn of Plenty offers an award-winning restaurant and elegant, luxurious accommodation in 5 acres of spectacular gardens.
Dating from the 19th century, the hotel is rich in historic character and original charm. A beautiful country house, it is privately owned and run and with just 10 rooms, from £115, offering a warm welcome and friendly personalised service. There is also free Wi-Fi and free parking.

The restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and serves superb cuisine, made with the finest, freshest locally sourced produce.
